Shelli Lether | Life Coach & Author
Shelli Lether is a female advocate, published author, and life coach.
A high school dropout from American Fork Utah, Shelli leapt from the frying pan of religion into the fire of Hollywood, holding onto a dream that a man would lift her from the darkness. After the collapse of her fairytale life in Los Angeles, she was left with three young boys and little to no education or work experience. Shelli embarked on a path of actualization, empowerment, and autonomy, working first as a yoga instructor and nanny to supervised visitation monitor and divorce and family coach. She sought instruction from acclaimed coaches, therapists and mentors, integrating those teachings with her own lived experiences to develop an intuitive and deeply considered approach to working with clients and individuals in need. In addition to her work as a coach and mentor, Shelli has completed her first memoir, a carefully crafted patchwork of memories which lay the path of her own journey from victim to victimizer, and the work it took to transcend the negative feedback loop of subjugation and abuse. Her coaching is informed by her extensive personal experience deconstructing and healing her childhood PTSD, to becoming the parent her children needed her to be, all allowing her to hold space attentively and effectively for others to do the same.
Based in Los Angeles, Shelli is a Certified New Life Story Wellness Coach for individuals, couples, and families. Shelli is a graduate of the Coach Training Alliance (2010), is ICF and AFCC certified, and has earned her accreditation as a Gender Equity and Reconciliation coach (GERI).
Shelli’s writing has been excerpted and published in numerous publications including Curves, a collection of unique beauty and stories of overcoming societal pressure; A Blueprint for Hope and Change, a collection of stories and case studies based on the prompt “If I had known then”; And Simply Woman: Stories from 30 Magnificent Women Who Have Risen against the Odds.
